2001 Shasta Fifth Wheel

We purchased our first project, a 2001 Shasta Fifth Wheel, in late 2020. She was not in horrible shape, but we did put lots of work into her. The first step though was getting her home. We didn’t own a Fifth Wheel hitch at the time, but luckily had AWESOME friends (who are also EXPERT campers) come to the rescue. First, however, we had to get Gary, Chris’s Dad, to tow his tractor to the sellers location to move it so we could get it hitched to their truck! Yep, Gary turned that Fifth Wheel with his tractor like a BOSS!!! Finally, She was home so we could begin the rehab.

She wasn’t HORRIBLE, but there was a little water damage to the floor and ceiling in the rear.

So… We pulled the all of flooring (including in the slide out, bedroom and bathroom) and ripped down the ceiling (up to the hall/bathroom area). We replaced the bedroom, stairs and slide out floors with new carpet and installed sheet vinyl for the remainder of the floor. Chris also fixed all of the leaks around the AC unit and replaced the ceiling with white paneling. We fixed any holes and painted the walls and trimmed everything in a white vinyl trim.

The final product of this Renovation was a beautiful, yet simple updated Fifth Wheel. We proudly listed and sold her (I totally didn’t know I should name her… OOPS) for asking on Facebook Marketplace in less than 48 hours to an AWESOME couple from NC.
